I like the animation of the main character! I included it in my Game Maker Toolkit’s Game Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

How does your submission match the theme?
The theme was dual-purpose design. For this I did a few things:
-As the player climbs higher, the camera zooms out to reveal more of the world so by moving you change what you see.
-This provides contrast between knowing very little and knowing too much which could provide for some interessting puzzles.
-Also noted that as you zoom out, the character becomes less visable and so tight movement becomes more difficult
-but holding run key will switch to a sprint state where you leave a trail of flames behind which renders the player more visable
-This leads to the conclusion that higher play = faster play and so levels can be designed around 2 core gameplay mechanics, puzzling and platforming.
-Also, when you pause with p the camera switches to a normal view, when struggling with a puzzle and you can't see enough info, you can pause or when doing speedy platforming you can pause for a nice looking screenshot
