The art and character animation is my favorite part of this game for sure.  Definitely has some hiccups getting caught up while running through the game.  I agree with others, having indication as you absorb power would be cool.  Thank you for sharing this game!

"54 seconds before the deadline"

That is jam time!  About to give this a go.  Thought that was cool since I am pretty sure it is the time of your first upload even if you did multiple before the deadline :)

Not a bad little game.  It did have a few issues, such as getting stuck like ereborn mentioned.

The attack works well, and it's nice to visually see the range of the attack as it goes out.  The dodge/disappear mechanic is really good too!  It is a little overpowered given that you can still attack while you're invincible though.  The jump mechanic felt unnecessary though.

Getting more powerful over time feels good, but it would have been nice to have some indicator in the game when you absorb a monster's power.  Some character animation, health bar blinking, sound effect, etc.

What the game seems to be lacking most is motivation for playing.  The mechanics work well but there's no reason for the player to keep going -- no goal to accomplish, no end in sight, no backstory, nothing.  Even something as simple as showing the number of monsters killed or distance traveled would give players an idea of the progress they're making.  Never underestimate the power of a number that slowly gets bigger!

Thnx mate, really useful advice

I'll make sure that I implement them in the next jam : D

Really awesome game, the retro theme and the music blends right in.

The concept of getting out of projectiles and enemy projectiles is also super fun. One of the best games played so far

Thnx Bro : )
I am glad you enjoyed it

The feeling of getting more and more powerful works very well! It's a pity that there is no end though (you just fall off the bridge?)

Small bug: Sometimes the character has to jump in order to continue but it is not visually clear where this is necessary.

Thnx Bro,  I'll surely fix these things after the jam.
