A game jam is where you make a game in a limited amount of time, centering around a theme. The theme can deal with the game's mechanics, its art, its sound, or anything else you can think of. Be creative!
This is a great event to meet other people interested in making games, talk and learn together, and you'll end up with a finished game for your portfolio to boot!
Are you unsure if you can finish one in the amount of time given? Don't worry about it! We're all here to have fun, and even if you don't finish in time you'll learn a lot along the way.
This game jam's theme is...
Two colors
Feel free to implement this theme however you like! The more creative, the better. It's always a lot of fun to see how everybody interprets the prompt differently.
This jam has two rules:
1. Your game should not include any NSFW or discriminatory/offensive content. The games should be playable by everyone!
2. Any art assets you use should be a) created by you /your team or b) credited properly. NO AI generated images, text, code, etc. of any kind will be accepted, and if you are found to be using AI during this game jam you will be disqualified. We're here to learn, and you can only learn by doing things yourself!
You are allowed to make games in a team; in fact, it's encouraged!
Any game engine or software is allowed. You can also use any assets made by other people, but keep the licensing in mind, and crediting too! You can be extra proud of making everything from scratch, but it is not required.
Games will be rated on four criteria: Enjoyment, Visuals, Sound, and Theme Implementation. Those are a lot of themes to cover a lot of game development specialties; your game doesn't have to excel in all of them! Don't worry about winning so much, because first and foremost this is a fun learning experience, and we're all here to have a good time. Is it getting close to the deadline? Submit. Your. Jam. Page!! You can always change the included files, cover art, details, and anything else during the jam period without having to resubmit it. There will be a short grace period after the jam is over if there are any technical issues, but we really want you to get your game in during the jam!
