- love the humour in this film!
- Liked the use of mixed media in Nibbol and Naw good idea to composite into photographic backgrounds. Interesting textures in the experimental animations. All the best for your future in animation.
- Very fun and likeable characters, design is simple but works well for this type of animation and its audience. Performance of the characters is very minimal and would have liked to just see more performance, but this may be due to character design that limits what they can do. That being said though, characters from the show LARVA are minimal in design yet show massive performance. Sound helps a lot to express emotions of the characters, its a simple story with simple animation so for a kids show it has great potential as a mini series. Timing of some actions could be worked on more, an example being as simple as their blinks, they feel more like frame glitching on too quickly and therefore doesnt allow a clear read of it being an eye blink. Maybe another frame in their of a half blink eyelid so that we read it more clearly. Use of post effects such as bouncing ball and objects being thrown across frame can help with efficiency on a stop motion project, but these could be executed to a higher standard. maybe snappier and use of simple animation principles to show fast movement across frame. squash and stretch techniques on the ball bouncing too would be nice to see.
- Two quirky characters and simple performances with props. Not really enough to go on to get a sense of animation ability. Suggest using an off-the-shelf armature kit and working on some basic principles. Some basic modelling and compositing skills.
- Simple and loveable characters, could imagine watching these on a series of children TV shows. Overall great concept, animated well. Was a pleasure to watch. Also I like the tile graphics, maybe replicate the font style through the entire video, to keep it all linked and themed.
