Overview:

'HELP: War Child' is a charity game jam hosted by War Child UK, where the winner will help to raise crucial funds to support children in war-torn countries. 

War Child challenge you to spend no more then 6 days between August - November 2017 to create a 50mb mobile game using Unity.  

War Child are looking for casual, fun games to come from this game jam. 

Participation is open to individuals, studios, groups of friends at studios, or collaborations between studios. 

You will retain the IP rights of the idea and concept produced during the jam (in case it’s so good you want to make it into a full game). 

The winning game will be released as one of a collection of games on the app store(s), and will sit alongside leading mobile-gaming studios. It will be featured in games industry press.

The Rules: 

  • Time - A maximum of 6 days are allowed to be spent on your game. 
  • Format – Mobile, across iOS and Android.
  • Engines –Unity only. 
  • Team composition – Teams can be as many or as few people as you would like.  
  • IP – You own the IP to your game. You give War Child permission to fully exploit the HELP version, and use your trademarks (such as studio name) for PR and marketing purposes. You can then develop the game as a fully fledged game at a later date as you own the IP. 
  • Dates - We will be accepting entries up to 11:59pm on 1st of November 2017.  
  • Game Size - 50MB or less, if you need more please let us know.
