How much time do I have to create?
Make and publish your game anytime between August 28th and September 10th to participate and a chance to win!
What game engines or tools can I use?
Games must be built using HypeHype on your mobile phone, tablet, desktop or web browser. HypeHype is free and there is no coding required!
Prize breakdown
We have 2 categories that cover both new and accomplished HypeHype game creators.
Experienced HypeHype Creators
- 🥇 First place: $3 000
- 🥈 Second place: $1 500
- 🥉 Third place: $800
- 🎖 7 Honorable mentions: $100 each
New HypeHype Creators
- 🥇 First place: $2 000
- 🥈 Second place: $1 000
- 🥉 Third place: $500
- 🎖 5 Honorable mentions: $100 each
Everyone who participates will be rewarded with a special badge that you can show on your HypeHype profile.
How to join
Rules
- Game is multiplayer
- Game description includes hashtag #MPJam
- Game is published by September 10th
- Multiple game entries are accepted
- One prize per creator (best performing game if multiple)
- Winners are decided by the community by using engagement metrics such as received likes, comments, shares, plays & total playtime
- Game engagement metrics will be calculated from the publishing date and until September 17th to find the winners
- Game and creator behavior must follow HypeHype’s Community Guidelines
- Remixed games are allowed, but they must be unique. Otherwise HypeHype’s algorithm will not favor games
- Two prize categories: Experienced Creators and New Creators
- Experienced Creators = creators that have published 5 or more games on HypeHype before the start of the game jam
- New Creators = creators that have published 4 or less games on HypeHype before the start of the game jam
Judging
The player & creator community decide the winners by playing and engaging with jam games!
Our data wizards will calculate several engagement metrics including game likes, comments, shares, number of players & total playtime to determine the winners.
- TIP! To improve your game virality, share it with your family and friends, stream on Twitch or post a video to TikTok or YouTube by using appropriate hashtags (#HypeHype, #MPJam). You can also promote it on the HypeHype Discord!
Anything can improve your chances of being seen and played by more players.

Start by completing in-app editor tutorials to learn the basics on using the editor. Our WIKI PAGE is also available with examples on how to use each logic node, plus other helpful tutorials.
