Theme: Two-Button Controls
Submitting a game to the jam may seem daunting if you're a beginner, but luckily the process isn't too hard. Here's a brief rundown of how to submit your project:
- When you're ready, return to the jam page and click on the button to submit your project
- You will be prompted to either upload an existing game or a new game. What this is asking for is your own personal project to be submitted to the jam. If you haven't made a project page for your jam game, go ahead and upload your game
- When you have your game ready, simply select it from the list of existing games
You're free to do whatever you want, and use whatever resources or language you want, as long as you follow these 2 rules. These rules ensure that the jam is fair and challenging while still allowing room for creativity.
- Stick to the theme. The challenge is to be as creative as possible while remaining in the confines of the given theme.
- Do not submit a game that's been worked on prior to the game jam. The goal is to see what you can make within the given time frame, so it's important that you stick to the time frame.
Judges (probably us) will be ranking all of your games based on the following criteria. The game with the best score wins!
- Gameplay Mechanics/Engagement -- How fun is your game to play? Are the mechanics intuitive and engaging?
- Creativity of Concept/Game -- How much are you able to do with the given theme? Is it still relevant to the theme while having a fairly unique or original idea?
- Design (Game Visuals) -- How polished is your game? Does it have a good and stylistic art direction? Are the sounds good?
- Friendly User Interface -- How easy is it to play/interact your game?
- Bugs -- Pretty self explanatory; how bug-free is your game?
