This was a very nice little self-contained story-puzzle-thing.  I feel like the hints were pretty subtle, and yet perfectly sufficient for me to eventually figure out what was going on & what I needed to do.  The idea of seeing something forbidden and deciding "I want to be that" also feels very trans, in a way, which I suspect was intended?
