  • This was a case in which really emotional writing made up a lot for other weaknesses. As a new user of RPG Maker, it’s a good approach to emphasize your strengths as you learn the rest of the process. Maps were generally too large, lots of empty space between the objects. The layout of the grandma’s house was also fairly confusing. The overarching story really had some resonance and I was glad to have gone through it. My advice at this point is to play some other games and get a sense of what the engine can do and then see what you come up with for next time!

The music is crazy. I could't stand it at all. You're intro is weirdly made and I told myself not to judge to harsh, but its hard because in the ''Grand-Ma house'', I did'nt know where to go, there's no path to follow, I could'nt uderstand nothing. And hearing this organ music was impossible to concentrate.  You should do something.

I think the jarring music adds to the overall atmosphere and I played through to the end. While the mapping could use some more detail and polish, I enjoyed the story a lot! No matter where you end up ranking at the end of the contest, this game has a ton of potential, I think!

Organ music drove me mad, couldn't stand to keep going. Also layout seemed more odd than maze-like. Interesting story idea, however, from what I discovered.
