I was stuck in the Ice Maze, I got the two items from the labyrinth but it was not clear what to do next.
However, the idea of them stuck in the world of a film is interesting. I agree with the feedback left by miracleJester and Colin, in my opinion if you want to develop a longer version then the best you can do is identifying the good parts of the game and focus on them. For example, you could plan the story overall, and once you have the sinopsis then you could start working in the level design and the story's script.
Keep practicing and learning about game design! I am trying to learn too, it is not easy but someday we will become better.
Thank you for your feedback!
This game could be a lot better without the extremely long fetch quest. I started with the Forest world and could not get beyond it because the fetch quest was too much. I don't know if you were trying to make the game longer to meet the 1 hour mark, but it would be best to have better content even if it is shorter. As it is, the game is just not fun enough
I got to say though, the IGMC joke was funny. Shorten the game and focus on the good of it, and you will be able to have players feel like completing it all the way
I love your feedback, I will keep this for update less use players time and improve in next version as I can.
Here's some advice regarding game design: try to avoid wasting the player's time. There's no point in making the player interact with the orbs and then confirm that they want to pick the orbs up. Just walking over them would've been fine. In another example, it's really annoying to have to go back and forth over the same area repeatedly, especially if the context doesn't warrant it. The steps 1. talk to sister, 2. talk to brother, 3. talk to sister, 4. talk to grandfather, 5. talk to sister, 6. talk to grandfather, 7. talk to grandfather again, are already at ridiculous levels of redundancy even without the need to go halfway across a maze between each step.
Thanks for advice and feed back for me.
