It's certainly good to experiment with new ideas and to push the boundaries of normal understanding. That can often make good art. This doesn't do that. This is just more and more ways to make a maze more annoying. Most of them are likely bad for the solver's eyes as well. Even just the rainbow effect isn't adding anything to the enjoyment of the actual maze. If you genuinely want to get into game design, I suggest thinking more in terms of what your player gets to do and less in terms of how you can mess around in fun ways. If not, then you should reconsider where you post your creative works. Assuming this wasn't already culled for hurting their eyes or not being a video game, the judges are now required to "play" this for 1 full hour.

Also, I cheated. I'm not going to go back and finish them. And I certainly wasn't playing "these", if you get my drift. Your ending text reminded me of the types of things said by the villain from the game "Pony Island".

There isn't a .EXE file in the download. It's basically a series of folders with images of mazes.  While that is unique it doesn't fit the rules of the contest at all so I can't rate it very high.  But it is a very unique take on a game.  Also the password idea is cute.

I'm sorry boss, I can't find where the rules say a .exe was required. x.x;

Closest I could find was "If the game exe does not run because of missing files, it will be disqualified."

I was pretty sure the game is compliant with the rules, but I've been know to be.... oblivious... to things...
Can you show me what I missed? ^.^;

Rule 8 and Rule 12 heavily imply that the game must be an exe that runs on windows.

A png can be viewed on windows but only by using the windows photo viewer by default.   That could be taken to mean that your images don't run because they are not able to be viewed without a program that views pngs.  But that is just splitting hairs.

Well played Oat. Well played.

The puzzle looks complicated =A=a
Unique enough, approved!
