Innovator's Jam 2021

This is a 48 hour online game jam, hosted by the Engineering Innovation Club, from the University of Alberta.

Who: This game jam is open to any student

When: July 9th 7pm - July 11th 7pm

Where:  Innovator's Jam 2021 is a completely online event. All participants must join this Discord server.

Prize: $50 for Best Overall, $20 for Best Use of Theme, $20 for Most Innovative

How do I join?

Click the "Join Jam" button at the top, and then join the Discord.

How many people are allowed per team?

Up to 6.

What if I don’t have a team?

You are more than welcome to participate alone. If you would like to work with others, use this form and we can assign you to a team. Alternatively, we have a channel dedicated to finding group members in the Discord.

What can I use to make the game?

You can use any software or tools you’d like. We expect the bulk of the assets/code in your game to be created during the game jam.

How do I submit my game?

Come back to this page to submit your game once the jam has started. If you're part of team, only one person needs to submit the game. Just specify in the description who you worked with.

Will I have extra time to upload my game?

You will have an extra hour after the 48 hours solely to upload your game.

Do I have to submit my game?

While you are not forced to submit your game, we highly recommend it, even if the game is unfinished. 

Where will announcements be given?

We ask that all participants join this Discord server. This server will be used to handle all announcements.

What if I need programming/artist help?

We will have a dedicated area in the Discord where you can ask any questions you may have. Staff will try to the best of their ability to help answer your question.
