Description
The work is submitted as part of the Impressions Composing Jam: Ambience #2

The theme "The Lost City" resonated with me as a familiar image of the lost city of Atlantis. In the music, I wanted to convey the image of a longing for his home resident of Atlantis, who can only remember the life that was in his beloved home
I don't know how well everything is visible on the screenshot, so feel free to ask questions!

A lot of people ( myself included) starting with water foley. Lol.

Very peaceful and well mixed. I love the microtonal little flourishes. Microtones really help with atmosphere; nature is messy and the tones are all over the place, and microtonal sounds make a nice in-between.

Also - I was going to comment similarly about the plucked instrument, but Fox beat me to it.

Fantastic work! :)

Thank you for your comment! I found this jam when it was 11 hours left to submit and when I saw the theme I just immediately thought about Atlantis and here the water is, haha

I'm glad that you like my work, great point about  microtones, thank you :3

Beautiful arrangement... it's clean, clear and fresh, like a mountain water spring.  This really proves you don't have to skimp on melody and harmony to create "ambience".  Every choice you're making here vividly illustrates the atmosphere of an environment.  A blue, green, watery one.  A delight to listen to!  Excellent work!!

Great job! The watery atmosphere was really well executed, it felt like a water city hub in an adventure/RPG game

Developer

Thank you! I'm glad that I made that water city vibe in your imagination :3

Nicely done Letina, very soothing and calm atmosphere it really has a sweet and "watery" vibe to it, I adore the little reverb laughs as sound design. The only thing i'd say to look is the main pluck instruments, its an important one and too much in the background, I would suggest you double it with another similar instruments lower in volume with some verb and maybe a chorus on it, then pan it or use a HAAS for stereo effects it will give more presence to it. Good job :)

Simple but it really gets the job done on setting the atmosphere. That was mesmerizing to listen the whole way through.

I think the waves and giggling sound effects can be lowered down a bit, and maybe with a bit more reverb so it will sit better in the mix. Or you can automate the gain/volume so that they get louder in certain part of the tracks and then softer in other, letting the piano and other instruments to shine through to create an "ebb and flow" feel .

But this is just my opinion haha. Great job overall! Looking forward to hearing your future projects!

That's very good advice, thank you! I know, my mixing skills is not my confident part and thank you so much for your vision from this point, I really appreciate it!

Cute, atmospheric, water, sea, rivers, oceans..... water. I really like the combination of water sounds, bright instruments and light effects in my left ear!

P.S. Spongebob season №5 episode 92...

Yes, I wanted to add some panoramic settings and add some special sounds into ear, so nice that you said about that :3
Thank you!

Oooh, I love the dreamy aquatic vibe you captured! All the instruments blended together well, and worked in tandem with the sound design to transport me into that watery world you created. The production is simple, though I think it's to the benefit of the wonderful composition that really leaned into the ambiance and melted into the background, allowing for near total immersion. I don't have much to critique, except that the piece cut off a *tiny* bit abruptly. It's normally not a problem that I tend to focus on, but with ambient pieces such as this, it does unfortunately remind my brain that much quicker that I am not living in an aquatic paradise...and that sucks. That aside, great job! :)

Thank you for your listening!

Yes, I found out that piece cut off badly only after I add it here, haha. It will be my lesson to the future :)
