Description
The forest is a labrynth;

Vast yet intimate, mysterious yet perspicuous...

An endless haven of twisting vines,
Towering pillars, organic matter;

Rooted in life and death
A dance of shadows pierced by
Soft beams of misted sunlight

Speckled with shimmers of
Dewdrops and wings;
A dynamic metamorphosis,
Yet we are never truly lost.

I love this one.

It's right in the heart that I can feel it, and that that is where it was composed from.

Constructive feedback wise:

Some of the sounds are still kind of midi, which can be a tough thing to overcome with limited tools. Mix wise, my biggest advice is that near things are drier with more delay and far things are wetter with less delay to the reverb. I.e. if you're 10 feet away and there's a wall 100 feet behind you, you'll be louder compared to the echo and it will take longer for the echo to reach my ears, whereas if you're 90 feet a way and there's a wall 10 feet behind you, you'll be quieter and the sound of the echo will be louder compared to you.

Mixing near and far is how you can get really big things in space.

Also, for making reverbs be nice and ambient and wet, you want to cut out the lows and the highs in the reverb EQ itself so that the sounds are mixed spatially.

Great work overall though, I really liked this composition. :)

Thank you so much! This was my first jam ever and admitedly I joined with quite the short deadline, but I'm glad my piece has been well recieved. The feedback is most helpful. Although I would still consider myself a producer, I'm definitely a composer first so any production tips to help bring my music to life is always good to have. Thank you again so much!!

Getting Ralph Vaughan Williams vibes.  That piano is so tender and expressive.  Amazing harmonic choices, this is incredible peaceful.

Thank you!! What a compliment:)

I love the piano, keep up the good work.

Great soundtrack. I like how expressive the strings and piano were throughout, as well as the simplicity. Reminds me on how I would try to compose/improvise when I wanna mess around on the keyboard lol

Beauty in simplicity. I guess you can never underestimate the potential of what you can do with just piano and strings haha.

Love it! Looking forward to hearing more from you!

Thank you! And as much fun as it is to go nuts, sometimes simpler is just as good:)

I LOVE the little piano flourishes throughout the piece. This one gave me goosebumps!

A mysterious and long-forgotten forest ...

And hey! Someone did something NOT related to sand and space! Cool!

Good job :>

Gotta change things up from time to time haha. Thank you!

I really like the use of dynamics, in contrast to today's tastes which abuse compressors making everything flat.

I agree!

Oh I definitely used to be guilty of over-compressing until I remembered music is more fun when there's actually dynamic life to it! Had to step back from being a producer for a bit and just stick to my roots as an orchestral composer again.
