Welcome to Indie City Jams!

Indie City Jams is a series of (usually) monthly game jams, hosted in Chicago by Indie City Games! 

Video game and tabletop entries alike are welcome!

Venue

The jam kickoff, speedmeet, and coworking session is generously being hosted by Solidarity Studios in Avondale, at 3323 N Pulaski! Come by to pair up with potential teammates and get some brainstorming and coworking in at the jam start!

This month's jam is held in partnership with Spit It Out! Audio, a new Chicago audio post-production company made up of an eclectic and experienced team of sound enthusiasts dedicated to crafting unforgettable audio for film, TV, video games, and podcasts.

Free Sounds!

Spit It Out! is generously providing a pack of audio assets to jam participants, available here on itch.io through this form and in the Indie City Games Discord. This asset pack will ONLY be available for this jam and is unique to Spit it Out!'s collaboration with ICG. 

 The jam will run from 6:00 PM 01/17 to 6:00 PM 01/19 CST, with games being streamed on twitch after! Join us at 7:00 PM on Discord  for our kickoff and some remote coworking!

While the jam period lasts the whole weekend, we want to reinforce that this is a casual jam and to not burn yourself out! We personally recommend spending no more than 8 cumulative hours on your project.

The theme will be unveiled here at the start of the jam, as well as in our Discord.

4:00 PM 01/19- Recommended time to submit your project on itch!

6:00 PM 01/19 - Jam ends!

7:00 PM 01/19 - Streaming over on our twitch!

• Gore and other more graphic content are acceptable, we just ask that any entries containing particularly sensitive elements be flagged accordingly. 
• No NSFW content.
