INTRO TO INDIE.FUN - $10,000 PRIZE POOL

What is Indie.Fun?

Indie.fun: a fundraising platform for game developers. We understand the challenges of funding a game—pitching to VCs, running Kickstarter campaigns, or scraping together resources to keep going.  So we built a platform that lets you crowdfund for your game by launching an in-game currency and allowing backers to purchase it ahead of time.

GAME JAM INFO 

Dates: 
- Start: Feb 1, 2025 (09:00 AM PT)
- End: Feb 21, 2025 (23:59 PM PT)

- Theme: Free for all! Anything goes

Winners Announced: Feb 25 Total Prize Pool: $10,000 

Grand Prize (1st Place): $5,000 
2nd Place: $2,000
3rd Place: $1,500
Honorable Mentions (2-4 teams): $500 each
(paid through indie fun fundraise)

Requirements:

- Must be a browser-based game
- You may submit multiple games. Teamwork is permitted and encouraged!
- Games must include: Cover image, art, directions on how to play
- All assets must not infringe any copyright/trademarks 
- Please upload the game to indie.fun and share the indie.fun link for judging. This does not have any cost!

Which game engines can I use?

Participants are welcome to use any game engine if the final game is browser-based and uses an in-game currency. We encourage everyone to use Moddio as it has built-in token integration, but it is not required. We will share a tutorial video on this in the coming days. 

Game Submittal:

When submitting a game, Itch requires a game page. However, we ask you for your indie.fun/project link during the submission process, and we will be judging based on that indie.fun link. If you have any questions, go to our Discord https://discord.gg/QUMkeq7ny6
