Recently, police brutality and racism have become terms many of us know all too well.  Through videos, articles or social media posts, it is hard to go more than a few hours without seeing, reading or hearing about the injustice currently taking place, not only in America, but all over the world. Many protests are already taking place against the actions of governments and policing bodies. Already these protests have been effective in bringing to light the importance of unity between not only different racial groups, but everyone regardless of race, gender, age, etc. But sadly there is always more to be done. Organizations that fight injustice produced by police need our help and our donations to keep their efforts strong. This Jam is a way for us, the development community, to spread awareness and raise money for an important cause.

The theme for this jam is 'Change'.

This theme although simple in writing, means a lot more to us now than ever before. Change is something that we as a united society need right now. To help achieve that goal, creating a game focusing on the beauty and importance of change and sharing it is a great way to spread awareness and incite positive change in others.

For more information about how we can change the problems with justice systems and combat racism and discrimination please visit Campaign Zero's website: https://www.joincampaignzero.org/#vision.

At the end of this jam, the game I create will be up on my itch.io page and any funding that the game receives will go straight to Campaign Zero as a donation. I highly encourage submitters to follow this approach as well as sharing this page, Campaign Zero's page, or any other charity on social media to spread awareness.

The Jam runs from 12 pm (Noon) Sunday, June 7th - 12 pm Tuesday, June 9th (Eastern Standard Time).
