Is it cute? Is it kawaii?

Of course, just making a cute game would be too easy, so the focus of this jam is to incorporate time!

 MediBang is hosting our first game jam! The two goals are to create a game that includes 

1. cuteness (however you interpret it)  and 2. is timed. 

The jam will last one week.

All skill levels are welcome, from beginners to professionals!

Rules:

1. Solo or Team: One submission per team. Up to 4 members per team. All participants must be 13+ years old.
2. Must work in Windows 10. Web builds are fine.
3. Any game-critical text must be in English.
4. No unusual peripherals (must allow for keyboard and/or mouse controls).
5. Credit all assets in your game including CC0 assets and your own work.
6. You may use freely available assets. These must be credited as well.
7. No hateful content and political/religious themes.

Requirements:

1. Game must have a timed aspect to it
2. "Cute" is subjective
3. There are no limitations on tools

Ratings:

Games will be judged according to the following criteria:

• Fun: Is the game enjoyable? Does it make us want to play more?
• Technical Implementation: Is the game well executed, with interesting mechanics?
• Music/Sound: Does the audio add to the atmosphere of the game?
• Graphics/Animation: Do the graphics give the game a sense of completeness?
• Theme: Are the two themes evident? Are they integrated into the game well?

Prize:

MediBang will offer the 1st place winner the opportunity to have their game published!

• Game must be completed within 1 year of the end of the jam to qualify for publishing.
• The completed game must be monetized.
• Further details will be decided at MediBang's discretion with consent of the jam winner.
• The winner will be contacted through itch.io or email.
