- It's an interesting concept, but once you get all the upgrades, it becomes very trivial, as all the monster troops just get one shot by your troops after a certain point. And with all the gold that the players can earn, if they just level up one troop to max power, they can sweep through most levels, earn even more gold, and just win. Also, I think some kind of tutorial would be very helpful. But other than that, this game was very fun, and I enjoyed playing it.
Quick description of the game
You are in your last castle and humanity's last stand against the massive invasion from the monsters. Will you be able to defend your castle at all cost? Or will you face the wrath from the strongest monster who is leading this invasion?
How does the game follow the prompt?
The enemies will keep on growing as the player progresses in the game while the player also has the option to grow their army.
How much experience do you have in making jams?
This is my 5th game jam. Most are just casual game jams where it is for learning purposes but some are have a prized pool.

Comments
Should refrain from making comments. Until I play the full game. I see what you did for the shop, and I am so sorry. Yes you did a good job at providing choices with the shop and what attributes to improve. Really creative way to provide varying actions to attempt to grow powerful to survive the waves.
Thanks for playing the game. I hope you have enjoyed it. I can understand a bit of confusion regarding to your earlier comments since I did not think of making some kind of guided tutorial to what features are available to the player. This question is just for my curiosity, have you made it into the final level? If you made it, what did you think about it?
I'm now replaying your game with proper set up and it is really cool
I'm coming at this with intent on open dialogue for what you want out of this game, and if you'll move onto something else, or continue developing the game you made here.
Truth being, I don't know how to make your game better.
I will tell you that I enjoyed when the archer died uncovering the swordsman and spearman to both attack and be attacked. (I placed archer in front, and grunts in the back.) The excitement was uncovering something new about YOUR game.
If YOU want follow up on this concept for a game, join another one month game jam. If this was your first time making a game like this, you'll likely see that you have a lot more time to actually think about how the game operates with the player.
