Fun game about frogs. Good hook on title. It took me a minute to figure the different effects the areas has and that we can zoom in and out but that's just missing info that you can add in on top of the UI. The game itself is fun and to try and see what the other frogs do.
This is a fun game, really like the idea of placing the frogs in different areas to perform different tasks. I'm not a fan of the screen being zoomed in so much at the start. it may be a good idea to allow the player to see the entire battlefield so they knows right away that its a continuous tug-of-war situation. i thought that it was just a "complete as many waves as you can and survive the longest possible" kind of game until i zoomed out and realized it was a completely different game. suggest to start with it zoomed out and include some kind of direction that says you are "now battling xxxxxxx enemy". then after a 3-5 second time, zoom in and start.
OR you could keep it zoomed out and have your frog troops get assigned in a UI in the bottom right of the screen. this way everything is visible all the time. to do this, make a red and green box that match the same as on the ground (but in an overhead view) and place the frog icons in their spots. have that info translate to the playing field.
whichever option you decide (or even a different one that you come up with later), please make sure that you show the entire battle field at some point automatically. outside of that, the game is great. I would love to see this expand more by adding other units and more opponents. please let me know if you update this more so i can keep playing.
Thank you for your feedback. I think the right solution is probably closer to your first suggestion - set the stage before the game starts: who are you fighting, where are you going, etc. Will definitely have a look into that, thank you!
