This jam is now over. It ran from 2022-01-01 08:00:00 to 2023-01-01 08:00:00. View 17 entries

This jam takes place throughout the year of 2022 and will consist of multiple games, the purpose is to help people release their first big game, learn game development, or maybe even make their dream game:

The first 2-3 months are dedicated to beginners or really anyone to learn: upload your progress, little projects, or don't upload anything at all! If you already know an engine and don't want to switch, take this time to make some showcases showing us what you can do! Upload them in order so we can see your progress! Hashtag these #Phase I

Phase II will go like this:
1. Make a game in an hour #Phase II Hour
2. Make a game in 2 days  #Phase II 2 Days
3. Make a game in a week #Phase II Week
4. Make a game in 2 weeks #Phase II 2 Weeks
5. Repeat the cycle time #(same hashtags) 2

During Phase III you'll make 8 games, each with one idea, something creative and fun to play E.X. A first person shooter where everyone has finger guns (and you have to convince enemies you shot them), a platformer where every time you jump you take damage, just any wacky idea you have. Each game should be made within a week and have 5 levels/areas/missions the first being a tutorial and the rest increasing in difficulty. Hashtag these by the order you make them for example #Phase III 1 through #Phase III 8

During Phase IIII you'll make 1 game using an idea from Phase III and make 100 levels/areas/missions for it in 4 months using feedback from it's original submission. Hashtag this #FinalGame

Rules? Themes???
There is no theme! Unless you consider learning a theme. The point of the jam is to just get good and release a lot of stuff.

Engine? Art???
Any engine works, I'll be using either Godot or Love2D but I recommend Unity for beginners, simply because of how much tutorial content there is out there. You could use this jam to get good at art, game development, or both! Anything you have the legal rights to use you may.

Can't wait to see your games, thanks for joining, and have fun B)
