There's potential here.. It has some nice ideas and a cute story!

Thanks! :3 I really appreciate getting to know what you think. I don't have many friends to discuss making this game with. So comments bring a sense of relief :D

I'm actively working on getting this game better. The overall story idea was finished during the jam. Currently, I'm filling in the details and implementing the last part. Also, modeled another character yesterday. So there's only one character left. Also, few game mechanics remain to be done and a lot of less blocky environment too :D And a bit more soundtrack, most likely.

I like the message and how getting out of a dark place involves helping others! I like the light/dark theme too!

Developer

Thanks! I'm glad that this part of the message can be noticed. There's a bit more coming next. And I'm glad that you like it :)

Along with the next parts of the story, I'm working on adding more game elements to the present part. They were previously omitted to save time. There are some new ideas too.

And just wrote a draft for another soundtrack melody :)

And here is a fix number two. Now you can see the lights like in the screenshot too, not only me :D Also, couple of bugs fixed including no sudden jump to someone's house when pressing spacebar a lot :3

Played both versions, the new one definitely makes a little more sense and opens up more stuff! I like the music a lot and the overall platforming feels very smooth. I would love to see more of the story. Good job :D

Developer

Thanks! :) I appreciate it.

Yeah, I'm working on the rest of the game currently.

Also, I've got a bit more sleep, finally, and will play your game too :)

And fixed it. Now you can access more of the story and another soundtrack piece which was made during the game jam.

It's ~50% of the game. Additional 35% are blocked by a mysterious rock problem which happens only in builds, but not during the development. It's a bit unexpected.
