Briefly describe your project
• TRASHED stands out as an inventive augmented reality app that allows users get a sense of how much space disposable items occupy and how they can choke an environment making it difficult to navigate and live in. With the help of ARDK 3.0, the app superimposes holographic representations of various single-use pollutants, such as plastic, glass, food, or aluminum disposables, offering users a distinctive and immersive means to witness the accumulation of pollutants in their immediate surroundings. AR serves as the perfect medium for users to comprehend the scale of it. • VPS, Meshing, and Depth Occlusion work together to create a spatial representation where objects gather in your vicinity. • Semantic Segmentation is employed to comprehend the surroundings, such as the sky, enabling the virtual assistant/listener to respond to your voice commands based on contextual understanding. • Speech Recognition using Google Cloud was used for fast and accurate speech recognition and full inclusion of Google Cloud Speech REST API • My inspiration for creating this app arises from a commitment to tackle global pollution. Recognizing that statistics alone may not convey the urgency, I aim to provide a more impactful and immersive experience, fostering awareness and inspiring action.
