Briefly describe your project
A multi-VPS location AR puzzle game is created using Lightship Maps and VPS. It is intended to make players go to different locations and solve a puzzle.
How did you innovate on this product (VPS/ARDK features)?
All puzzle elements at each location relies on VPS anchors, placing virtual objects over real world for all puzzle solving and interactions. Then raycast to see if touch is hitting intractable object.
How did you use Remote Authoring or Maps Beta? (Optional)
Maps is used to show player the locations of the puzzle and a locate button will zoom the map to the puzzle location. Remote Authoring is heavily used to create all anchors. I have done field test total of 5 times only with cellphone. I made notes on what needed to change, then make those changes after I return from the field.
How does it speak to Niantic's mission? (Optional)
A purposeful use of AR, getting people off the couch, going to explore places, yes, it checks all boxes on Niantic missions.
How complete is your project? (Optional)
It's a complete game with 1 hour of play time. Before publishing to App Store, it needs a few finishing touches for better user experience, and Unity analytics code also need to be added. Target App Store publishing date to be in February 2023

Really nicely designed - love the fact each escape puzzle is so strongly tied to each location :) Really enjoyed watching this and wish we could play it ourselves!

next time when you're in SF, above is test flight link. Explore is least reliable, hit reload (bottom right icon) if anchors is not in the right place. Fountain and cloud gate is spot on every time it localize.
