Briefly describe your project
AR Detective Agency sends you on a journey on South Beach Miami by visiting the Lifeguard Art Deco towers. A crime has been committed and you have to help find clues and recover the stolen items by visiting the different Lifeguard Towers. The purpose of this project is to get people out of their homes and walk the 3/4 mile to be active in a fun way. People have been locked up during COVID for so long, that this experience empowers you to get to the beach and enjoy the natural beauty of the beach and also our famous Life guard towers.

How did you innovate on this product (VPS/ARDK features)?
I innovated by using Remote Auth, VPS, Wayspot Anchors, Maps, and Occlusion.I primarily innovated by being able to figure out how to localize at multiple wayspots. That is something that currently does not exist in Remote Auth or any tutorials on Niantic. I also innovated by having the user perform different actions along the AR Detective Agency.

How did you use Remote Authoring or Maps Beta? (Optional)
I used Remote Authoring to build out all mini puzzle experiences based on the wayspot location. I used the wayfarer app to scan private scans. I then downloaded them and built experiences by created Virtual Environments from the downloaded meshes. I used the Maps Beta to help implement multi wayspots and guide the user to the next wayspot location to localize.

How does it speak to Niantic's mission? (Optional)
Niantic's mission is to create immersive AR experiences that inspire movement & encourage exploration. AR Detective agency gets people moving by walking 1.3 miles during this experience that takes about 45 min to an hour. It also meets Niantic mission to explore the real world you live in. People visit the historic Miami South Beach Art Deco Lifeguard Towers to take pictures of their vacation and etc. This experience now gives them an Augmented Reality experience to remember their vacation that brings more memories to that photo they took.

How complete is your project? (Optional)
This is a complete project. I have multiple interactions, multiple wayspots, and more. It includes a Main Menu, audio and narration within the app to improve the User Experience. I have tutorials in the experience to show the user how to scan to localize. I have various interactions the user has to do like Screw, Throw, Hit, Unlock a safe. Since it is complete, I can improve on it by adding to the experience. I plan on uploading this to TestFlight and sharing with people to get feedback. I also will publish it to the app store, when I get enough scans. I want to get scans for all the towers at least 30 scans (10 morning, 10 midday, 10 sunset) so I can have a great wayspot and can build more experiences around these great towers.

So exciting to see this one!!! There's so much you've put into this and it looks like it would be a whole lot of fun to play! Gotta visit Miami Beach some day so we can try it!
