Well done for your game ! :) However you should have use a hand drawn character for consistency of the artistic style. The music is very good. Was it created for the game ?

Developer (1 edit)

yeah, the jazz,  i had to travel around 400 kms to get the music done by my busy friend from the church. Luckily i managed to pull this together. As mentioned in my previous comment, i did not even have an idea of what a spritesheet is and how to animate things within love2d. But here i am. i did draw something of a protogonist myself, but  blame it on my weaker muscle memory for graphics design.

I shall attach my actual protagonist.

A cossy walk around the neighbour

Game should have had another map, and another level, but time constraint as usual. Also i looked to collaborate with some seniors rather than design and submit a game of myself. But here i am.

The style of the backgrounds was really nice, and I liked your interpretation of the theme :)
I thought the pixel art character clashed with the style of the rest of the game though, and it felt like the game was always telling me where to go without letting me figure things out.

Thanks for your comments, wasnt lucky enough to get colabs, after some of em i found online left me on read.. I am new to game development, and even by the  penultimate day of game design, i did not even know a thing about sprite sheets. But now i do..
