Cute game! It was fun switching between the characters and exploring the different locations. I also enjoyed the songs and liked how they changed in different locations! Finding new items was a pleasant surprise and I found a few fun/silly uses (hammering down a tree). Really cute retro feeling game. I actually think if you were going to continue it, to maybe bump up the resolution (just to fit more fun exploring stuff on screen).
Great entry! :)
Glad you had fun enjoying the game! Especially that you got a few uses out of the physics engine, too, as I'm unsure how many people would run across. ^^; Still, good advice: I don't plan to do much afterwards, but I may tie an increase in resolution to the binoculars after the jam is over.
I could not figure out anything to do in this game. I could press U to switch to a different character. This game made no sense to me.
That's a valid critique: I did spend a lot more time building the art assets and physics than incorporating good design into the game. I'll make sure to take that advice into the game I made the assets for, so thank you for your input!
And enjoy the rest of the voting period for the #LOWREZJAM!
I love the retro feel. It kinda feels like wandering through a forgotten NES cart that's been damaged but you can still play it somehow.
Hey, that's a cool idea! Might be a good idea to use it someday, but for now, I enjoy the comparison. Thank you. :)
Nice game, me and my sons were playing this, we love the characters and graphic style, a good idea
Thanks to all of you for trying it out! Glad to know my graphical style is going in the right direction. :)
