Was the resolution a challenge?
We used the Unity game engine. The only thing we could find to create a low res game on this scale was a package from 2016 that seemed to have weird jittery issues in the editor and occasionally in the build. The UI tools for unity also does not render in low res with the tool either. Lots of code was made to overcome these issues.

What did you learn?
Limiting the sprite size was a fun experience and personally want to build more on in the future. We also did random terrain generation for the first time which took a bunch of time.
