THIS IS A MEGAMAN FANGAME BTW TO BE CLEAR
the 64x64 resolution (real game area not including border) was the only reason why I had the idea to make largely level design due to the limitations of not having the horizontal vision bias of usual widescreen games

obv this wasnt 4:3 it was 1:1 but it makes me want to use a 4:3 ratio rather than 16:9 in the future

I liked the idea, but like everyone else, got stuck at the PAPA jump (which as far as I can tell is a leap of faith?), and cut the experience shorter than it otherwise could’ve been.
Cool little game! The suction ability is a super interesting mechanic and allows for some unqiue puzzles. The artwork is nice and does a good job at being similar to the source material.
Though having to restat the entire level when you die is a little frustrating and made me lose motivation to keep playing. All of my deaths were at the 'PAPA' section where unseeable enemies would shoot you from across the screen. If you decide to continue with this game in the future checkpoints are a must!
Regardless, this is a very nice little homage to the Mega Man games and does a very good job at caputuring their essence.
I had challenge and fun playing your game. Smooth and clean controls, simple but nice mechanics. But I really needed checkpoints especially just before the jump under "PAPA" image 😂
