I played it at last! It runs well on my home PC. Pretty good roguelike. I ran into a two small bugs. Music plays only when I die (cool melody btw), bur not during the gameplay. And when the enemy stands on the cave entrance, you will enter the cave instead of fighting.

Pretty good! I just don't know why the death music is so upbeat. :D

Developer

@Wolod: Thanks for the interest in my game, but don't expect too much ;-) Sorry regarding your problems. My first guess is, that your machine is missing the .net runtime(minimum version 4.5 is needed). Stupid of me not to think about this before releasing (my first monogame release). Maybe I will have a look into including an .net installer later.

@Roh & supersysscvi: Thanks for checking out the game and your kind words. Means much to me.

I like rogue-like games very much, so I was very happy to find game in this genre among the jam entries. Unfortunately it just doesn't run at all. I just double-click the Head Spin Rogue.exe and nothing happens. Also tried to run it as administrator, but it didn't help. I'm using laptop with Windows 8.1 (64 bit), Core i5 M520 2.4 GHz, 4 GB RAM. Perhaps it would help. I'm looking forward to play this game. I'll try to run it again on my home PC this evening.

very fun game, think is very expandable if you want to work more on it after the jam ^^
ps: weird choice for the death music, hahahahaha

I was looking forward to this one, and it's a nice rogue-like! ^^;

Some of the audio choices were nice, but it would have been also nice to have some sort of ambient music during the actual gameplay. Feels a bit empty otherwise, and the game over screen is a bit jarring because of it (but that feels whimsically intentional. ^^; ).

It's difficult yet enjoyable. :3
