It's spacious and fitting of a peaceful outdoor theme. I also like that you stick with a memorable melody and develop it throughout.
Very chill and beautiful string melody and ornaments. The way you offset plucked and bowed strings gave it a feel of ancient tranquility. Actually, quite sad it wasn’t longer.
You have a really nice and clear sound with a nice acoustic, but well-blended mix between your various stringed instruments. I love that run up the pentatonic scale in the guitar melody to start the next phrase at about the 30 second mark. I also heavily used the pentatonic scale in my submission because it dose such a great job of creating that warm and comfortable sound and feeling- and it works so well here! I also really like the variation of this same section in the high octave guitar at about the 1:33 mark and think this sets up the loop well. One suggestion I have that could help make this song sparkle even brighter than it already does is to add some variety to the note velocity at the beginning so it sounds like a person would play a guitar where each note is picked at slightly different volumes. It’s subtle, but just easier to tell when the instrument is exposed. I still think it sounds great though! Great work and thank you for sharing!
This is hella-cool. I didn't know what to expect from the guitar solo at the beginning, it kind of made me think of an Asian lullaby, but it builds up into something completely different, and that's kind of crazy. The guitar shines from the variety it brings to the table, complimented by the harmonics of the keyboard. Admittedly, I don't know myself how to implement the themes of the jam, but I can feel the fire aspect of the theme in the percusion, bass and violin, at the very least. It makes me think of a sound that could very well work for a Visual Novel.
If I had one suggestion it would be to give the guitar at the beginning a maximized reverb, to create anticipation. And the strings portion could benefit from a pattern that's a bit easier to identify from minute 1:02 onwards. Good job, keep up the good work!
