storytime!
i don't know about yall but this game jam was a ROLLERCOASTER for me. i planned out this whole interactive fiction game with great big plans for lore and plot and characters. it was the whole works: maps and diagrams and graphs and everything. i got so into it.

but five hours before the jam deadline, i realized i wouldn't have enough time to write and test it. also, my sleep-deprived stream-of-consciousness writing sucked ass!! it's such a shame cuz i loved this story and i made so many assets for it and it was such an easy story to be motivated about, even when i was hit with writer's block.

anyway, the final game is nothing grand or filled with lore. it's just a simple as fuck "card game" about the friends you make playing games in school as a kid. i'm honestly not that unhappy about it.

all in all: the theme of this jam was great and i'm coming out of it with so many story and game ideas, as well as countless note-to-selfs on how to work out my next project.

i'm gonna go take a shower now
