Theme chosen
Rebirth. I interpreted this theme as the opportunity for renewal and transformation amidst adversity. In my game, "Ashenvale's Redemption," players embark on a journey as Quorix, a noble duck-like alien, to restore light and life to the scorched lands of Ashenvale. By finding the magical mashrums, an artifact of rebirth, Quorix ignites a new dawn, rejuvenating the barren landscape and bringing hope to a world on the brink of extinction.

Similar reviews as below...wish I could get further? I thought I left a comment on this page also....not sure where it went?
I can't really seem to get past the first screen, and at some point when I go into one of the buildings the game just resets. Am I missing something? I'd love to give the game a longer, more thorough playthrough if possible.
Feedback from what I was able to play so far:
- Presentation is really good, the music is calming, the darkness suits the storytelling (although maybe a bit too dark or could use some small light sources elsewhere). I see you have Forest Assets listed as an external asset, but a lot of this looks like it was lifted straight from Monument Valley (a great looking game and any aesthetic that tries to imitate it is okay in my book, but these look like the actual assets).
- Items make different sounds when you pick them up and I was never really sure what was what. The story text listed a lot of different items that need to be collected, Mushrooms, Magical Herbs... I was never really sure what I was looking for.
I don't have a lot more to say than that. I'm intrigued by the concept of a Monument Valley-esque Metroidvania and would love to see what's on offer, so let me know if there's something I missed. Thanks!
hey thanks for playing the game. The reason the level resets is that you have to play fast and refain from letting the light die( which decreases with time). Once the light dies the level resets. If you keep collecting the crystals it recharges the light. I did add a UI to show it the instructions It was showing on my side dont know maybe it didnt show for your screen size. I surely intend to work on this more. after the jam. Anyway thanks for taking your time to play the game and writing a detailed review.
