Theme: Sacrifices Must Be Made

Rules:

• The game must incorporate the theme in some way, which will be revealed at the opening event happening in Stetson 265 at 6:00 PM on November 21, 2024. The theme will also be announced on Discord shortly after the event.
• The game must be made within the duration of the jam. Late submissions will not be considered for prizes.
• There is no limit on the maximum team size. Participants can also compete alone.
• You are free to use any assets or code that you have the rights to use.
• You may use LLMs to assist you with the development process.
• No NSFW content.

Prizes:

Prizes will be awarded in two categories:

1. Popular Pick (Determined by votes on itch.io)

2. Judges Choice (Determined by a panel of judges)

The prize for each of the two winning projects is a $50 steam gift card* distributed equally among the team members.

Extra Credit:

For students participating in the jam for extra credit, you will be required to fill out a form after you've successfully submitted to the jam. We will use that form to send out the list of students who submitted to the jam to your respective professors. Additionally, your submission needs to show a good-faith effort towards making a game for you to be eligible for extra credit. Notice the emphasis on effort and not result; it just can't be something like a blank window.

Submission:

Unless you're submitting a browser-playable version of your game, try to submit for all three major operating systems: Windows, Mac and Linux.

* Prize will only be awarded to Mercer University students.
