Absolutely love this!! Cool mechanic with the shelf's weight and I adore the art! My main piece of feedback is the controls, I think an acceleration of the movement might make it feel a little nicer. I felt like I moved very quickly the moment I pressed the key and there was no gradual buildup, so it was quite hard to get precise jumps.

Amazing work! Definitely one of my favorite submissions :)

Good level design, catchy music, and attractive graphics. The bookcase is well-animated (I never thought I would say those words). Overall, a fun game.

A few considerations for improvement:

The main menu screen does not do justice to the esthetic level of the game, and has a grating music track.

Also, the lethal drops that fall from the ceiling are difficult to see against the background. Anything lethal should have high contrast. (For example, they could be bright red.)

Finally, the controls are OK, but maybe not quite accurate enough for the kind of precision platforming that the game requires. I was unable to cross the long pit where drops are falling from the ceiling and a platform is traveling from left to right.

The slight quirk with the movement is that you can't stop in mid-air without using the down-smash, the challenge with that is that you have to time the smash at just the right moment, otherwise you will plummet into a pit of ink.

Thank you for your feedback!
