putting it together in three hours that is awesome,
when moving the pick axe it got pixelated bad, there was also a split second when you saw the title.
the game play was also very odd, first couple of attempts i was moving the mouse trying to mine as much gold as i could. capping out around a couple hundred, I finally found a sweet spot where i let the axe just go down on its own with no player input and ended up with a high score of 900.
my suggestion would be to require player movement to take away the dirt/gold it felt very passive like i didn't need to be there
nice game. best concept ive seen so far
I really like the concept
Nice game!I really like these type of games!
Nice work, this is actually a really fun game although quite bugged.
It seems like the only way to efficiently mine is to point the pickaxe so it's facing right and just let it go down diagonally. You make quite a lot of progress without even moving. But then once you get to the edge and have to turn and face the other way, that's where I get stuck and always die.
There's definitely some potential here if you polished out all the bugs and made it clearer how to play efficiently!
Yeah I dunno why the mining doesn’t work going left, I tried a few ways but I didn’t have the time. The way I wanted the moment to be was that you had to swing it back and forth like a real pickax but that doesn’t work.
I’ll try to fix the gameplay, thanks for the review!
It's good for a 3 hour game, although the music and sounds are a bit too loud imo, still a good game tho :D
