I like your puzzles! Good job.
I tired running back and forth. I want possibility moving faster or level should be smaller. You should add locks on both sides of closed doors.

Developer

Glad you liked the puzzles!

The one-sided doors are a puzzle themselves. The goal is to reach to a position to unlock them, on top of having to carry the correct potion.

As for sprint - or a method to alleviate running back & forth, I'll consider some stuff.

I really like the idea for the game! I just wish I could pocked a potion or two so I wouldn't have to run back and forth every time while I am trying to explore more areas of your awesome world!

Developer

Glad that you enjoyed our game!

The game is focused on time attack, so running back and forth & juggling pickups is the key goal of this game... There are a few hourglass powerups to help with the time as well, keep an eye out! ;)

Wouldn't load for me sorry :(

Developer

I'm sorry to hear that! Can you tell what happened? i.e. game crashed on load, etc. so we can address the issue?

Submitted

The file wouldn't open for me at all, so I guess crashed on load?

That is odd... I did a download check, and it works... You should extract the package first, and then run the MiniGameJam.exe found in:

<Folder where you've installed>\Colourful Dungeon\WindowsNoEditor\MiniGameJam.exe

Does the *.exe work?

Oh, and if the problem persist, could you send the log file? It is found in:

<Folder where you've installed>\Colourful Dungeon\WindowsNoEditor\MiniGameJam\Saved\Log\MiniGameJam.log

Thanks!

Solid game. I ended up getting stuck (for a bit) both at the first cauldron and at the first crawlspace due to lack of in-game tutorial. Besides those hiccups, I had a fun time exploring the maze and mixing potions! I could not progress past the orange potion door (I'm not sure why (Green, Red, Red) does not make orange), but I love a good maze! There seems to be a bug with the timer, because nothing happens when it runs out. Game download is really big for some reason. Possibly the assets used had too high resolution images?

Developer

Hello, Plide; and thanks for playing our game!

The last color is supposed to be white-ish really - You mix Red Green and Blue to get it - but the color seems to be bugged as well... The door opens with the correct potion/potion mix, however, so the game should be finishable...

Regarding the tutorial, we'll be adding one as soon as possible. Can you please tell how did you ended up getting stuck on these points? i.e. what were you trying to do, and couldn't figure out? And lastly, which part are you referring to, when you say the "first crawlspace"?

The assets are a little big, and not the most cleanest ones for a level edit, I agree... We will address these & the above bugs for sure.

Thanks for your feedback!

The first crawlspace was the area where you had to crawl under a narrow arch to get to a blue potion. I saw the crawlspace, but I didn't know how to crawl, so I ended up going all around the map until I realized I had to press C. For the first cauldron (the one where you had to mix red and blue to make a magenta potion), I got stuck because I assumed the cauldron was decoration, and that I just was not finding the magenta potion. Love the game, though; I will go back and finish playing soon!

Now that is odd. You can crouch in a couple of places, but they should only let you access a time powerup and a shortcut, not potions..??

You can reach to a blue door area via a crawlspace, is that where you are referring to? That is an optional path, which is a part of a puzzle to create a shortcut ;)

Oh, it's optional! It's cool that there are multiple ways through the maze!

Developer

Yeah, I like to add such things in a level for the player to explore!
