That was a really well done game with a really great implementation of the theme. The pixel art and music is great too! Couldn't get the last  butterfly though

Developer

Thanks for playing! Sorry that the last part was too difficult.

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it.

i really enjoyed until i klicked the back button accidentally. i think i got the idea tho and my only issue is the slow jumping

Developer

Sorry that you lost your progress! And also apologies for the slow movement, the game should run smoothly when downloaded, but I didn't have much time to work on how slow the game runs in HTML, so I would definitely like to revisit this issue and try to make it run faster, since I know that most people would prefer to play it on the browser.

alright then, i'll have a look at the download as well

Great stuff! Original fun gameplay, cute pixel graphics and I loved how the music switches tones across worlds. Did you come up with the music yourself? If so, what tools do you use to produce it?

Developer

Thank you for your comment! I'm glad you liked the game. As for the music it's an interesting story. I knew from when I first designed the two worlds that I wanted the music to shift between a happier, bouncier tone to a deeper, more mysterious one, but I'm not a composer, and have little experience with music in general. It was by complete luck, that two days before submissions were due, Google hosted a little webpage to celebrate Oskar Fischinger's 117th Birthday, where you place notes, and it plays a little song for you. Using this, I could quickly make a few little jingles without any experience: https://www.google.com/logos/d...

Haha that's so cool! Great content from such a simple tool.

Really nice pixel art
Interesting Mechanic, Liked the Jump one way to get a 'jump' the other way because of how the physics worked.
Could have used some sounds.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! I'm glad you liked the gameplay.  It is my absolutely my fault for making the audio so quiet, but there are sounds and music in the game, you may not be able to hear them because of how very quiet they were recorded, or perhaps an error is preventing them from playing. Regardless, I thank you for pointing this out, and I will be upping the volume of the audio in the game soon.
