Le Montréal Game Jam est de retour en présence pour son édition 2023! Venez en cette fin d'avril créer des jeux avec nous, que vous soyez complètement amateur ou professionnel.

Pendant cet événement, vous serez amené à créer un jeu vidéo en 48h avec votre équipe sous un thème donné. L'objectif : créer des jeux, tisser des liens, apprendre, s'entraider et, surtout, avoir du plaisir.

Notons que, contrairement aux éditions précédentes, le Montréal Game Jam est indépendant du Global Game Jam.

FAQ

Pourrai-je rester en présence durant toute la fin de semaine?
Oui! Nous offrons des dortoirs pour ceux qui veulent rester la nuit. Nous offrons également des douches.

Y a-t-il de la nourriture offerte?
À l'accueil des participants, un repas sera offert pour tous. Durant toute la durée de l'événement, des collations et des boissons seront mises à la disposition des participants. Le café est également offert!

Pour des repas complets, plusieurs restaurants et fast-foods sont situés à côté de l'événement. Ces repas ne sont cependant pas compris avec le billet.

Que dois-je apporter?
Vous devez apporter votre ordinateur personnel (laptop/tour), vos écrans (si nécessaire) et tout autre équipement dont vous avez besoin pour travailler. Aucun équipement informatique ne vous sera fourni durant l'événement.

Apportez également votre billet. Il sera nécessaire pour vous donner les passes qui vous permettront d'assister à l'événement.

Que puis-je faire si je n'ai pas d'équipe?
Nous offrons sur notre Discord un salon spécifiquement pour vous trouver une équipe! Viens nous rejoindre.

Come make games during an entire weekend in Montreal!

The Montreal Game Jam is back in person for its 2023 edition! Come during this end of April make games with us, whether you are completely new to game dev or a professional.

During the event, you will have the opportunity to make a game in 48h with your team using a given theme. The goal: create games, forge friendships, learn, help each other and, most importantly, have fun.

Please note that, contrary to previous editions, this year's Montreal Game Jam will not be affiliated with the Global Game Jam.

FAQ

Will I be able to stay at the venue during the entire weekend?
Of course! We offer sleeping areas for those who want to stay during the night. We also offer showers.

Will there be food?
During the event's reception, a meal will be offered for all. During all the event, snacks and drinks will be distributed to participants. Coffee will also be offered!

For full meals, there is a lot of restaurants and fast-foods surrounding our venue. Those meals are not included in the ticket price however.

What should I bring?
You should bring your personal computer (laptop/desktop), your screen (if necessary) and all other equipment you'll need to work. No computers or other similar equipment will be lent during the event.

You should also bring your ticket. You will need it to enter the event.

What should I do if I don't have a team?
We offer a team building channel on our Discord server! Come and join us.

At the start of the event, there will also be a networking and team building period for those who still don't have a team.

I currently work in the industry. Can I still participate?
Yes! The only restriction to participate during the Montreal Game Jam is to be at least 18 years of age.
