'Project SGG' was the jam game I spent the most time playing, and very well implemented gameplay mechanics were definitely one of the reasons for that. The controls in this game are super responsive! Jumping works just as it should: you remain in control of the player character in air and also have the ability to regulate jump height by reducing/increasing spacebar press duration. Movement is also pretty precise and dash is possible in any direction, including bottom.

I also love the nostalgic vibe that the art style gives off, as it's really reminiscent of older java mobile games. They too always had the kitchen level for some reason! By the way, that one was my favorite in the whole game. I had a lot of fun drowning enemies in cheese-lava lakes >:D Maybe it would add to the challenge if enemies started attacking after being held for too long though.

Another strong aspect of 'Project SGG' is the soundtrack. It's easy to ignore it because of how perfectly it suits the game. Despite being quite meditative, it fits the mood and helps you to keep on going even after dying several (hundred) times. Sadly, there was no pause menu to keep it playing in the background (...and also prevent Goblin-chan from dying when staying afk!)

By the way, a cool detail I noticed is that the intro foreshadows bosses!

P.S. A bit unrelated, but wanted to say that your website design is hella stylish yo.

Thank you for submitting your game to the Ms Paint's Jam!

Thank you so much for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed it.

Hey.....The player movement is oddly very polished and satisfying for a game jam game........Given some more time, I really think this game can be fleshed out to a complete release....good job
