Have you tried using a 2d physics material with 0 friction and 0 bounciness? that can help you with you get stuck on the sides of the platforms. Just add the 2d physics material in the box colliders 2d

I don't know much about unity's physics but I'm learning it. I'll try and search about that material. Thanks for the info man. :)
