I unfortunately relate to the story - parents that think you have to be one or the other, parents that pretend to be supportive of that stuff but end up being disgusted when you talk about it, parents that dont support you or your partners identity, think its a choice, leaving home to another country - but I think it was presented in a way that was a bit 2010s and redditor-y, the text bubbles went way too quickly too

I wanted to give it a 1 star because it made me wanna cry. it actually hit very close to home...to close.
a down-to-earth, incredible depiction of coming out as queer to unaccepting parents. nicky case you are one amazing writer and i'm so sorry "outdated references: the game" was what got popular </3 (not that :the game: series wasn't fun but it wasn't thought-provoking like your other stuff)
