The Byte-Off is a month long game development competition where NESmaker users create brand new proofs of concept for all new demos for the original Nintendo Entertainment System.  It is open to all skill levels, and has awards in many different categories, celebrating our growing community's broad and deep creative abilities!  If you want to begin creating NES games, check out www.TheNew8bitHeroes.com to find out how you can get started.

You are invited to participate and submit an entry to this year's Byte-Off no matter what your skill level is.  The competition is as much about collaboration, and the community fully rallies behind each others' projects, some of which go on to become full games.
