"This is ground control to Cosmobunny Laika! Do you read us?"
In a universe of craft supplies and glitter, a mission in Space Exploration has gone unexpectedly wrong, stranding the Plush Explorer, Laika, on a new and deceitfully friendly celestial body. Initially fascinated by the world they discovered, our brave Cosmobunny realizes that they are quickly running out of breathable air in their supplied tank. They must find a way off of this world as quickly as possible, will you help them?
The theme of this Game Jam is "Sustainability". We decided that Dream Space's link to the given theme is to have the player sustain Laika's oxygen levels by reaching the end of each level. This allows the player character to continue their exploration of the world we crafted for our game. In addition to the oxygen tank, we decided that in the deeper story of our game, Laika's world is close to reaching it's end due to a Climate Crisis caused by their species' negligence, so they were sent on this mission to find a new world that could possibly sustain Patchwork life.

This game is absolutely adorable, and I love nearly everything about it. The main issues were that you were occasionally unable to jump if moving (important to be able to jump and move otherwise time is wasted, which is bad on a game with a time limit). I also found that if you were close to the side of a block you would be unable to make it to the top without moving back and forth. Another thing that was frustrating was the clinging to the wall. If there was a feature to wall jump, like tiger climbing gear in terraria, then this would've been fine, but because there is no wall jump it just proved to be a nuisance as it prevented you from falling quickly (again, wasting time). I thought the animation for Laika (cute reference to that poor dog) clinging to the side was so cute though.
