  • Good job completing the jam and your first game! Some things to consider: - You essentially just have a massive maze going on here. Look into possible mechanics you can introduce to make the gameplay more interesting. You have this very ominous music playing, but there is nothing in the gameplay that adds to any sense of urgency. Think about what kind of mechanics could make the player feel rushed. - Your level seems to be incomplete. You just fall off onto an endless UE5 map. Additional polish to this game would have made it significantly better, but in its current form, there's a lot that just feels rushed. It looks like this is your first time using UE5, but definitely think about polish when working on a game like this. You can have a super basic game, but if the polish is there, the game will just feel that much better. - Add some narrative elements! You have all of these NPCs in the world, but none of them do anything. Have some dialogue blurbs and talk to people! If you are in such a rush, why aren't they? Make that clear to the player. Overall, definitely focus on polish and what makes a game interesting to play. Good work team!

Great art and environment! The music really built some tension up and was expecting something big to happen...but I got to the end and nothing really happened.

There was some quirky/weird things I spotted that added to the atmosphere but felt like it wasn't enough compared to the crescendo/dramatic tone of the background music, which is probably why I expected something whackier or bigger or jumpscare to happen.

Maybe I got through the maze too fast / too easy so perhaps adding some paths to throw off players + more dramatic/wacky things happening can add more to the experience.

As a team, we were all new to UnReal Engine and had never created a game before this Game Jam. We've learned a lot, and look forward to the next Game Jam! Please enjoy!
