An interactive experiment in holiday customization! This project lets users configure the colors and animations of lights on a virtual Christmas tree, created from a detailed Gaussian Splat of a real tree. Built with Niantic Studio, it showcases the intersection of 3D scanning, visualization, and user interaction in a festive context.

What was the inspiration for your project?
The inspiration for this project comes from the growing trend of smart holiday decorations, where real-world products allow users to configure the lights on a Christmas tree through an app. These innovative solutions let you customize the lighting colors, animations, and effects with a few taps, adding a personalized touch to the festive season. Taking this concept into the digital realm, I wanted to create an immersive experience that mimics this sense of control and creativity into a virtual space.
