How did you complete the challenge?
I worked solo, basically just chose instruments and went for it. Experimented with different grooves but overall just tried to use piano's wide range and shamisen's unique sound to make the arrangement sound full.
Did you take inspiration from another creation?
nope

Interesting choice of the shamisen, the song overall is missing some sustained sounds tho. And just as selkione said, the volumes are all over the place between instruments.
Thanks for listening and the feedback!
I agree with you, will try harder for the next one :)
Very good idea to use a shamitsen, it gives character to the music.
But I have the feeling that either the piano volume is a bit low or the drum volume is too high. What do you think about it ?
Thank you, one of my favourite instruments :)
Now that I'm listening to it again, I agree with you. I think in the middle part where all 3 instruments play together it is a bit difficult to hear piano (approximately from 0:42). I was worried if I push velocity it might sound unnatural, but I'll try adjusting track volume (and make drums a bit quieter).
Thanks a lot for listening and your feedback, this is my first jam ever so I really appreciate it <3
Congratulations on your first jam :)
You'll see how addictive it can be.
The Nitro-Music jam happens every week. I hope to hear you at the next one!
Thank you! It was super fun to do :)
I can tell, signed up for the next one already :'D
Same to you!
