What is the No Free Game Jam?

Make something and charge for it. Value your work. Value others' work!

How it works

You will be jamming for ~2 months and creating a paid game costing $.01 or more.

When the jam ends, every participant will receive a key for every other game so that submissions can be rated.

Themes are optional and do not need to be followed.

Can I work on an existing project?

Yes, but most of the work should be completed during the jam period.

Can I work with a team?

Of course!

Is there a Discord?

For now, the community forums of this jam page will do but if enough people join, a discord server will be created.

Rating Criteria

• Gameplay - is the game compelling? does it spark any emotion?
• Aesthetics - how is the visual design and audio? is there a cool atmosphere or story?
• Completion - how polished does the game feel? is there enough content? is it bug-free?
  
• Pricing - how accurate is the price? too high? low?
  
• Marketing - is there harmony between the cover art, itch page, and screenshots?
