Welcome to NSFW-MiniJam #11!
This is a Game Jam exclusively for people aged 18 and above, where erotic games can coexist, and you can connect with like-minded devs to collaborate.
A big thanks to PixelWarrior for creating all the art for this Game Jam!
The theme will be announced when the submission period begins. The objective is to see how people strive for originality and create diverse games based on the same topic. The idea will be voted on by all of you on the Discord server, so stay tuned! The theme will be a ranking category, so be sure to follow it.
Theme of this Jam: Tentacles.
There will be at least 3 optional themes available, which you can choose for an additional challenge if you wish. The themes with the most votes, excluding the winner, will be selected as the optional ones.
Optional themes: One Room Game, Slime & See Through.
Feel free to interpret the themes as you wish and make sure to have a great time.
Timing:
The game submission period will last for 9 days (any longer, and it wouldn't be a MiniJam XD). On the other hand, the voting period for the games will last for an exact week, following the closure of the submission period.
What you MUST:
- You must be 18 or older to participate.
- Your game must contain erotic content (implicit or explicit).
- Ensure it's marked as NSFW if it's necessary (in the metadata tab; check the "has sensitive content" checkbox).
- The game must be created during the submission period of the game jam. You can modify it during the voting period, and if you haven't had enough time, you can still submit the game later.
What you CAN:
- You can submit games of every genre and kink, as long as the game aligns with itch.io guidelines and includes content warnings in the game.
- You can work solo or in teams.
- You can use characters from your favorite IPs (Fan Games are allowed).
- You can submit game assets created by you during the game jam.
What you CAN NOT:
- DON'T submit games with topics like gore, pedophilia, or discrimination of any group of people (you will be banned for life).
Advice:
Try to be original! I know it's easy to say, but you all know how people are exhausted with visual novels and similar games. Use these Game Jams to be creative and find other ways to keep people intrigued!
Voting:
Participants in the Jam can vote for other participants' games. There are no prizes, but you can learn a lot from this experience and also potentially meet people to work with. The ranked categories are:
- Horniness: Does the game make you feel horny? Does it fulfill your lewd desires?
- Gameplay: Is the gameplay enjoyable, or is it just a backdrop with no substance?
- Uniqueness: Is it an original idea? Does it explore new concepts or try something different?
- Theme: Does it adhere to the announced theme?
- Presentation: Is all about how cool and engaging your game looks and sounds – the art, music, sounds, and overall vibe that makes it stand out!
Q&A:
- Are there any limitations on what engine can be used?: No, you can use any game engine (Unreal Engine, Godot, Unity, Ren'py...).
- Are pre created and/or purchased assets allowed?: Absolutely! If you have assets that make your work easier and you want to use them, feel free to do so.
- Is using AI to generate things like general environment textures or for inspiration allowed?: Yes, there is no problem at all, although the content created by AI must be specified upon delivery.
- Is it allowed to start concepting and doing basic structure work before the start date. I.E. creating project files, rough concepts for story, programming for general actions such as interactions and movement?: If you want to reuse code from previous projects and other elements, it's fine, but keep in mind that the essence of the Game Jam is to do everything (or most of it) during the game jam.
- Is furry content allowed?: Yes, no problem with that.
I hope you enjoy this Game Jam. I will try to organize it every month, so stay tuned!
If you think that something can change in the Game Jam, tell me. I will read every suggestion.
The idea for this Game Jam is partly inspired by the Mini Jam, but there is no connection between the two.
