The NYU Game Center Small Data Jams are collections of games instrumented to gather data about what players do while playing: how long do you play? How soon do you accomplish a task, or what kinds of choices are popular? The way you play matters, but everything else about you is kept anonymous (and compliant with the EU laws on data privacy, like the GDPR!) No personally identifiable data or tracking involved: playing these games just helps students understand how people play! All thanks to the Tinylytics Unity plug-in (homegrown here at the NYU Game Center).
